U.S. stocks decline over one percent, S&P 500 falls 2.1 percent

U.S. stocks declined over one percent yesterday as escalating tensions between the West and Russia surrounding Ukraine dampened investor sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.2 percent, the S&P 500 declined 2.1 percent and the Nasdaq Composite index plunged 2.9 percent.
