Benchmarks Domestic indices today plunged more than two per cent. The Sensex and Nifty, both, tumbled for the second session in a row amid heavy sell-off in global equities. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange declined 793 points or 2.01 per cent to trade close below 39,000 mark at 38,721. Nifty at National Stock Exchange also fell 253 points or 2.14 to trade under 11,600 level to settle at 11,559.

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange slumped 407 points, or 1 per cent, to close at 39,194, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange slipped 108 points, or 0.9 per cent, to 11,724.

Domestic stocks today declined around half a per cent amid negative global cues. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange fell 194 points to end at 39,757. Nifty at National Stock Exchange also slipped 59 points to settle at 11,906.

At the stock markets, paring its solid gains posted in the opening session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 127 points, or 0.3 percent, to trade at 39,743, a short while ago. Domestic stocks today closed with modest losses amid negative cues from Asian markets. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange fell 118 points to end at 39,714 a short while ago. Nifty at National Stock Exchange also slipped 23 points to 11,923.

In the previous session, the Sensex closed at 39,067 while Nifty ended at 11,755. The rupee at the forex market in the previous session settled at 70 rupees and two paise against the dollar.

Benchmark indices ended lower tracking negative global cues after IMF cut global growth estimate to 3.3 per cent for this year, amid doubts over US-China trade talks and Brexit outcome. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange slumped 354 points, or 0.9 per cent, to end at 38,585. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange declined 88 points, or 0.8 per cent, to close at 11,584.

At the stock markets, key indices ended lower for the second straight day today while the rupee posted sharp losses against the dollar. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange lost 192 points, or 0.5 per cent, to close at 38,685. The Nifty dropped 46 points, to 11,598. At the forex market, the rupee plummeted 76 paise, to 69.17, against the dollar. Gold fell 80 rupees, to 32,670 rupees per ten grams in Delhi. And, Brent crude futures rose 31 cents, to trade at 69.62 dollars a barrel.
