At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 61 points, or 0.2 percent, to end at 38,471, today. The Nifty at the National Stock exchange gained 18 points, or 0.2 percent, to 11,269.

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange shed 10 points, to trade at 41,313, a short while ago. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 3 points, to 12,123. The forex market, the rupee weakened 6 paise, to 71.58 against the dollar, in the afternoon deal.

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 227 points to end at 41,613, today. The Nifty at the National Stock exchange advanced 68 points to 12,248.

Benchmark Sensex dropped over 200 points when markets opened today. Traders said that investors turned wary amid subdued quarterly results by key index constituents and negative cues from global markets. The S&P BSE Sensex index fell as much as 227.28 points to hit 41,301.63 in early trade and the broader NSE Nifty benchmark declined to as low as 12,162.45, down 62.1 points from its previous close. Meanwhile, Rupee declined 6 paise to 71.17 against US dollar in opening trade.

Equity benchmark today soared more than 1.5 per cent as global investors heaved a sigh of relief after the US-Iran conflict appeared to cool off. The 30-share BSE index surged 635 points, or 1.55 per cent, to finish at 41,452. Similarly, the broader Nifty surged 191 points, or 1.58 per cent, to 12,216.

Equity benchmarks today closed with marginal losses for second session in a row. Sensex and Nifty, both, lost around 0.4 per cent amid mixed cues from global markets. Sensex at Bombay stock exchange fell 181 points to close at 41,461. Nifty at National Stock Exchange also slipped 48 points to settle at 12,214.

Sensex declined by 345 points in early session today. The 30-share index dropped 345 points to trade at 36,127. Nifty dropped 94 points to 10,647. The rupee also breached the 72 mark against the US currency. It fell by 22 paise to trade at a nine-month low of 72.03 in early session.

Domestic equity benchmarks were trading almost flat in afternoon trade amidmixed cues from Asian stocks. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange was up marginallyby six points to trade at 37,408. Divergently, Nifty at National Stock Exchangewas trading marginally down by 11 points at 11,043. On the other hand, the rupee at forex market depreciated by 25 paise to around71 rupees and 38 paise against the US dollar in afternoon deals.

Domestic equity benchmarks today closed with marginal gains amid positive cues form global stocks. Recovering losses of morning session, Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 39 points to end at 37,350. Nifty, at National Stock Exchange, also added 18 points to settle at 11,048.

Domestic equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, today climbed driven by gains in IT stocks and positive macroeconomic data. The rupee also appreciated 15 paise against the US currency. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 160 points or 0.41 per cent to end at 38,897. Nifty at National Stock Exchange also surged 36 points or 0.31 per cent to settle at 11,588.
