Key domestic indices end with marginal gains

The key domestic indices ended with marginal gains on Tuesday. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed near the 62,000 mark while the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange settled near 18,350 level. Stock Market: Sensex increases 235 points, Nifty to settle at 17,812

The key domestic share indices today ended with modest gains rising for the eighth session in a row. The BSE Sensex closed near 60,400 points while the NSE Nifty settled above the 17,800 level. Both benchmark indices gained amid mixed global cues. The Sensex rose 235 points, or 0.39 percent, to finish at 60,393 while the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 90 points, or 0.51 percent, to settle at 17,812.

Sensex ends with marginal gain of 44 points to close at 61,320

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange ended with a marginal gain of 44 points, to close at 61,320, on Thursday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange moved up 20 points, to 18,036. The broader market out-performed the Sensex, with the BSE Midcap index and the Smallcap index climbing 0.9 per cent, each.

The Sensex and the Nifty today fell around half a percent in the afternoon trade. Both stock indices slipped amid negative global markets. Sensex climbs 308 points to trade at 52,130

The Sensex and the Nifty today gained more than half a per cent in the afternoon trade. The two key domestic share indices appreciated amid mixed global cues. The Sensex was trading above the 52,000 mark. The Nifty was above the 15,500 level. The Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 308 points, or 0.59 per cent, to trade at 52,130. Stock Market: Sensex gains 462 points, Nifty settles at 16,373

At the stock markets, after a positive opening in the morning trade, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange continued to consolidate gains and was trading 462 points, or 0.9 percent, higher, to trade at 54,789, in the afternoon trade, a short while ago. Sensex, Nifty log modest losses

The Sensex and the Nifty on Wednesday logged modest losses. Both stock indices declined for the third session in row amid mixed cues from global share markets. The BSE Sensex closed below the 58,350 mark while the NSE Nifty ended below 17,500 level. The Sensex plunged 237 points, or 0.41 per cent to finish at 58,339.
