Nifty above 10,700, Sensex crosses 35K

Benchmark Domestic stocks today extended yesterday's gains in afternoon trade amid positive global market. Sensex crossed 35 thousand mark while nifty was above 10,700 mark. Both stocks climbed around one percent. Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange jumped up 317 points or 0.91 percent to 35,030. Nifty at National Stock Exchange was also up 87 points or 0.82 percent at 10,705. The rupee at Forex market in afternoon deals weakened six paise against the US dollar to 66 rupees 81 piase.

Sensex surges 92 points; Nifty declines 23 points

Key benchmark stocks today closed with gains for a fourth straight session.  The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 92 points, or 0.27 per cent, to 33,880.  The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange also climbed 23 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 10,402.

Sensex loses 430 points; Nifty closes at 10,249

Domestic stock markets today dropped over one per cent even global markets showed firmness.  The key stocks plunged for fifth straight session.  The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange lost 430 points, or 1.27 per cent, to 33,317.  The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange declined 110 points, or 1.06 per cent, to 10,249.

Sensex falls by 300 points; Nifty losses 100 points

The Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange today fell for the fourth straight session to close below the psychological 34 thousand mark. It lost 300 points or 0.88 per cent to 33,747. The Nifty at National Stock Exchange declined 100 points or 0.95 per cent to 10,359.

Sensex, Nifty remain flat in afternoon deals

Key domestic stocks were trading almost flat with marginal up in afternoon deals.  Gains triggered by better-than-expected domestic economic growth were almost offset by losses due negative Asian and European stocks.  The Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange gained 43 points or 0.13 per cent to 34,227.  Similarly, the Nifty at National Stock Exchange added 20 points or 0.19 per cent to 10,512.
