India's Tennis veteran, Sania Mirza won the doubles title at the Ostrava Open with her Chinese partner Shuai Zhang. They defeated the pair of Kaitlyn Christian and Erin Routliffe by 6-3, 6-2 and clinched the title in just over an hour. In US Open, the wild card entrants in the women's doubles Sania Mirza and American Coco Vandeweghe were knocked out of the tournaments after they lost to Nadia Kichenok of Ukraine and Raluca Olaru of Romania 6-4, 4-6, 3-6 in the first-round clash.   While the Indian-American duo won the first set, they failed to carry the momentum and were broken early by Olaru and Kichenok who fought back and won the second set.
