Saina Nehwal crashes out of All England Championship

In badminton, former finalist  Saina Nehwal's run in the All England Championship at Birmingham ended today after she lost  to World No.1 Tai Tzu-Ying of Taipei 15-21 , 19-21 in a 37-minute quarterfinal clash.  It was her 13th straight defeat against Tai Tzu-Ying, who has not lost to Saina since 2015. In men's singles quarter final later today , seventh seeded Srikanth will take on World No.1, Kento Momota of Japan.

Indonesia Masters: Saina wins after injured Marin limps out of final

Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal won her first Indonesia Masters title after three-time world champion Carolina Marin limped out of the final due to a leg injury. The Spaniard was leading 10-4 in the first game at Jakarta today when she developed an injury in the knee.   Talking about her competitor's injury, Saina said, it is unfortunate what happened today.

Saina enters 2nd round of Denmark Open
