All England Championships:Lakshya Sen defeats third-seeded Anders Antonsen to reach quarterfinals; Saina Nehwal goes down to Akane Yamaguchi

In Badminton,Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen defeated Danish third seed Anders Antonsen by 21-18, 21-16  in the second round of   Men's Singles and he is through to the quarterfinals.  However, Saina Nehwal lost to Akane Yamaguchi of Japan by 21-17,17-21, 21-14 in second-round women's singles match at the All England Championships in Birmingham today.

Saina Nehwal out of Thailand Masters,suffers a shock defeat in first round

In badminton, India's campaign at the Thailand Masters badminton tournament ended in Bangkok today with the defeat of ace shuttler Saina Nehwal. The fifth seeded Saina lost to unseeded Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt of Denmark 13-21 ,21-17, 15-21 in a hard fought 47-minute contest. This was Saina's  second consecutive opening round defeat.
