Rupee strengthens to end at 73.39 against US Dollar

The rupee today strengthened by 43 paise to end at 73 rupees and 39 paise against the US dollar supported by persistent foreign fund inflows and weak American currency. Forex traders said, sustained foreign fund inflows, positive domestic equities and a weak US dollar further boosted the local unit. The dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, fell 0.72 per cent to 92.33.
