Rupee strengthens 15 paise to close at Rs 82.28 against dollar

In the forex market, the rupee today strengthened 15 paise against the US dollar. The domestic currency closed at 82 rupees and 28 paise against the American currency. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, fell to trade at 104.68 in intra-day trade.
