Rupee strengthened 62 paise against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee today strengthened 62 paise against the US dollar. The domestic currency closed at 80.78 against the American Unit over its previous close of 81.40. Forex traders said that positive domestic equities and sustained foreign fund inflows also supported the local unit.
