Rupee appreciates 33 paise to 82 against US dollar

In the Forex market, the rupee today appreciated 33 paise against the US dollar. The domestic unit closed at 82 rupees against the US currency.   The dollar index, which indicates the US currency's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was almost flat at 101.58 in intra-day trade.
