Rupee appreciates 25 paise to close at Rs 82.55 paise against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee today appreciated 25 paise against the US dollar. The domestic currency closed at 82 rupees and 55 paise against the American Unit. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, fell 0.07 percent to trade at 104.18 in intra-day trade.
