Rupee strengthens 22 paise to Rs 81.63 against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee strengthened 22 paise against the US dollar. The domestic currency closed at 81 rupees and 63 paise against the American currency.

Rupee appreciates 26 paise to settle at Rs 76.31 against dollar

In the Forex market, the rupee appreciated 26 paise against the US dollar. The domestic currency settled at 76 rupees and 31 paise per dollar. On the other hand, the dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, rose 0.27 percent to deal at 98.24 in intra-day trade.

Rupee falls 131 paise to 74.75 against US dollar

The rupee, in the business week ended yesterday, witnessed a big fall of 131 paise against the US dollar to 74 rupees and 75 paise per dollar. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was at 92.16.  

Rupee pares initial gains, settles 5 paise lower at Rs. 73.36 against US dollar

The rupee today pared its initial gains and settled five paise lower at Rs. 73 and 36 paise against the US dollar. The domestic unit weakened tracking heavy selling in domestic equities and strengthening American currency.     Forex traders said rising COVID-19 cases and uncertainty over US stimulus also affected investor sentiment. The dollar index, which indicates the strength of the U.S. currency against a basket of six other leading currencies, rose 0.34 per cent to 93.69.

Rupee settles 7 paise higher at 75.51 against USD

The rupee today settled 7 paise higher at 75 rupees and 51 paise against the US dollar. Forex traders said, rupee traded in a narrow range as foreign fund outflows and concerns over rising COVID-19 cases weighed on investor sentiment while stable domestic equities checked further fall.

Rupee strengthens by 16 P to Rs 65 1 P against US dollar

The rupee strengthened 16 paise to 65 rupees one paisa against the US dollar. In the previous session, it was at 65 rupees 17 paise against the US currency.
