Rupee appreciates marginally by 2 paise to close at Rs 81.50 against dollar

In the forex market, the rupee on Monday appreciated marginally by two paise against the US currency. The domestic unit closed at 81 rupees and 50 paise against the dollar. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, fell marginally to trade at 101.85 in intra-day trade.

Rupee appreciates six paise at 77.53 against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee today appreciated six paise against the US dollar. The rupee closed at 77 rupees and 53 paise against the US currency.   The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, rose 0.48 percent to trade at 102.34 in intra-day trade.

Rupee weakens 30 paise against U.S. dollar

In the forex market, the rupee today weakened 30 paise against the US dollar. The domestic unit closed at 74 rupees and 56 paise against the US currency.  The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies rose 0.2 percent to trade at 96.4 in intra-day trade.

Rupee weakens 8 paise to close at 74 rupees

The rupee today weakened eight paise to close at 74 rupees and 27 paise against the US dollar. On the other hand, the dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, rose 0.24 percent to 92.54 in intra-day deals.

Rupee settles on a flat note; up by two paise at Rs 76.14 against dollar

The rupee today settled on a flat note, registering a rise of just two paise to 76 rupees and 14 rupees against the US dollar, tracking weak US dollar and gains in the domestic equity market. Forex traders said rupee was trading in a narrow range as positive domestic equities and weak US currency supported the local unit, while rising coronavirus cases, border tension with China and foreign fund outflows capped the gains.

Rupee appreciated by 32 paise to 69.70 against US dollar in opening trade

The rupee appreciated by 32 paise to 69.70 against the US dollar in opening trade Tuesday, amid easing crude prices and weakening of the greenback vis-a-vis some currencies overseas.   The rupee opened strong at 69.83 at the interbank forex market, then gained further ground to touch 69.70 per dollar, displaying gains of 32 paise against the greenback over its previous close.    The benchmark BSE Sensex opened on a cautious note and was trading at 38,927.35, down 139.98 points or 0.36 per cent; ...
