Retail inflation spikes to 3.99% in Sep due to price rise in food items
Retail inflation spiked to 3.99 per cent in September this year mainly due to higher prices of food items. Government data, released today, showed that the consumer price index (CPI) based inflation was registered at 3.28 per cent in August this year. On a year-on-year basis, the inflation was 3.70 per cent in September last year.
