Retail inflation rises to 7.41 per cent in September

Retail inflation, based on the consumer price index (CPI), rose to 7.41 per cent in September this year compared to seven per cent in preceding month. As per the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation data released today, inflation climbed mainly due to modest rise in prices of Food & Beverages, Clothing & footwear and Fuel & light segments.
