Paddy procurement for Kharif 2020-21 continuing smoothly in procuring States, UTs

Paddy procurement for Kharif 2020-21 is continuing smoothly in the procuring States and Union Territories with purchase of over 670.44 Lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy. This is an increase of 14.52 percent against the last year corresponding purchase of 585.41 LMT. Out of the total purchase of 670.44 LMT, Punjab alone has contributed 202.82 LMT which is 30.25 percent of total procurement.
