Oil prices rise, Russia halts exports to Poland via a key pipeline

Oil prices rose today as Russia halted exports to Poland via a key pipeline. The rise comes ahead of a hefty supply cut announced for March, but a stronger dollar and fears of recession capped gains. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 83 dollars per barrel while WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude price was at 76 dollars and 25 cents per barrel.

Oil prices fall as China COVID-19 cases spike dampens demand outlook

Oil prices today fell more than one percent as surging COVID-19 cases in China dimmed hopes of a recovery in fuel demand for the world's largest crude oil importer. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 82 dollars and 20 cents per barrel while WTI crude price was at 77 dollars and 70 cents per barrel.

Oil prices fall despite lingering supply concerns

Oil prices today fell, after rising to seven-year highs this week, as investors took profits following a build-up in U.S. crude and fuel inventories. However, the overall sentiment remained solid due to concerns over tight supply and geopolitics.   In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading around 87 dollars per barrel while WTI crude prices were at 84 dollars and 20 cents per barrel.

Oil prices fall for 2nd day

Oil prices today fell for a second day on worries that fuel demand could fall after U.S. President Donald Trump doused recent optimism over China-U.S. trade talks, at a time of rising U.S. crude oil stockpiles. Brent prices were trading around 62 dollars per barrel. WTI prices were at around 56 dollars and 50 cents per barrel when reports last came in.

Oil falls to lowest since third quarter of 2017

Oil prices today fell to their lowest since the third quarter of 2017, heading for losses of more than 10 percent in a week, as global oversupply kept buyers away from the market ahead of the long festive break.  Brent crude prices, in intra day trade today, were trading around 53 dollars and 15 cents per barrel. WTI prices were at around 45 dollars and 40 cents per barrel when reports last came in.

Oil prices today rose, recovering some ground after two days of losses, as markets braced for the imposition of U.S. sanctions on Iran next week and stock markets clawed back some of their recent losses. Brent crude prices, in intra day trade today, were trading around 76 dollars and 50 cents per barrel while WTI prices were at around 66 dollars and 40 cents when reports last came in.
