Oil prices fall around half a percent

Oil prices today fell around half a percent as the International Energy Agency (IEA) said the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus would slow the global oil demand recovery. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading around 71 dollars and 20 cents per barrel. WTI crude prices were at 68 dollars and 90 cents per barrel.
