Oil prices fell by around one percent today, pressured by slow economic activity in the leading crude importer, China. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading one percent lower at 82 dollars and four cents per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was also trading down 1.15 percent at 76 dollars and 91 cents per barrel when reports last came in.

Oil prices rose today as the International Energy Agency (IEA) joined the producer group OPEC in forecasting relatively strong growth in global oil demand this year. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading 0.13 percent higher at 77 dollars and 98 cents per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was also trading up 0.30 percent at 72 dollars and 78 cents per barrel when reports last came in.

The crude oil price hovered around 80 dollars per barrel amid demand concerns and a waning war-risk premium which has triggered a sell off over the past week. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 80 dollars and eight cents per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at 75 dollars and 80 barrels when reports last came in.

Supply cuts by oil-producing countries to keep crude prices elevated. Brent crude was trading marginally lower today amid concern over a global economic slowdown which overshadowed supply cuts announced this week by top crude exporters Saudi Arabia and Russia. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 76 dollars and 20 cents a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude price was at 71 dollars 25 cents per barrel when reports last came in.

Oil prices rose today and were broadly flat on the week as concern over oil demand growth was balanced by Saudi output cuts. In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading at 76 dollars and 28 cents a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude price was at 71 dollars and 57 cents per barrel.
