Sensex falls 236 points

Equity benchmarks today snapped winning rally of eight straight sessions and closed with losses of around half a percent. The key domestic indices fell amid negative global cues. The Sensex declined 236 points or 0.54 percent to settle at 43,357. The NSE Nifty-50 index also slipped 58 points or 0.46 percent to settle at 12,691.
