No proposal to alter DBT mechanism to transfer subsidy to domestic LPG consumers: Govt

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that there is no proposal to alter the DBT mechanism to transfer subsidy to domestic LPG consumers.  The Ministry has denied reports in sections of media that government may revert to the earlier system of supplying subsidized refills to domestic LPG consumers in place of the current scheme.  Currently cash subsidy is transfered into the bank account of LPG consumers under the PAHAL Scheme.
