Key US indices ended higher after Fed revived investor risk appetite

Key US indices ended higher yesterday as economic data fueled optimism that the Federal Reserve would ease monetary policy and revived investor risk appetite.   The Nasdaq Composite index gained 1.3 percent, the S&P 500 rose one percent and the Dow Jones Industrial average added 0.9 percent.
