ICC Test rankings: India retain No 1 spot despite defeat in New Zealand

India cricket captain Virat Kohli has managed to hold on to his second position in the ICC Test Rankings for batsmen, released in Dubai today. India maintain top position despite 4-1 series defeat against England in ICC Test Rankings

India continues to be at the number one position in the latest ICC Test Team Rankings despite the 4-1 series loss against England. England grabbed the fourth spot due to its superlative performance in the recently concluded 5 match series. The Virat Kohli-led side had started the series at 125 points but the series loss meant it is now on 115 points. Joe Root's England side with 105 points is now just one point behind South Africa and Australia, who are both on 106 points.
