Govt issues 63 show cause notices to manufacturers, importers of weighing & measuring instruments

The government has issued 63 show cause notices to the manufacturers and importers of the weighing and measuring instruments. Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ministry said, it has been observed that some manufacturers and importers of weighing and measuring instruments are selling the weighing machines on the e-commerce platforms without complying with the provisions of law. The Ministry said, such unauthorized sales on e-commerce sites have caused revenue loss to the government.
