Government clarifies no planning to introduce cryptocurrency regulated by RBI

The Government today clarified that there is no planning to introduce a cryptocurrency that will be regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, presently, cryptocurrency is unregulated in the country and RBI does not issue a cryptocurrency.
