Gold trades at Rs 49,950; Silver above Rs 60,900

Gold prices today lost 230 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts. The precious metal was trading at 49,950 rupees per 10 gram. Silver prices also declined 230 rupees to 60,925 rupees per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came in. In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was trading down at 1,808 US dollars and 10 cents per ounce. Silver was also down at 21 dollars and 60 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
