Gold prices gain Rs 180 at Multi Commodity Exchange for February contracts

Gold prices on Monday gained 180 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for February contracts. The precious metal was trading at 56,505 rupees per 10 gram. Silver was also up 275 rupees to trade at 69,700 rupees per kilogram for March Contracts when reports last came in. In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was trading down marginally to trade at 1,921 dollars per ounce. Silver was also down at around 24 dollars and 40 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
