Gold Drops to ?62,340, Silver at ?72,276 at MCX; Global Gold at 2,043.10, Silver at 23.18 per Ounce

Today, gold was trading lower at the Multi Commodity Exchange for February contracts. The precious metal was down 219 rupees to trade at 62,340 rupees per ten gram. Silver futures for March contracts was also down 351 rupees to trade at 72,276 rupees per kilogram when reports last came in. In the global markets, gold was trading down at 2,043 dollars and 10 cents per ounce at COMEX. Silver was trading down at 23 dollars and 18 cents per ounce in the intra-day trade when reports last came in.
