Foreign investors pump in nearly Rs 2,000 cr into Indian capital markets in first week of January

Foreign investors pumped in nearly 2,000 crore rupees into the Indian capital markets in the first week of January. According to the depositories data, Foreign Portfolio investors, pumped in 3,202 crore rupees into the equities markets, but pulled out 1,221 crore rupees from the debt market in January. Prior to this, FPIs had pulled out nearly 30,000 crore rupees in December, 2,500 crore rupees in November and nearly 12,700 rupees rupees in October.
