US, England advance to semi-finals of FIFA Women's World Cup

The United States and England have advanced to the semi-finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup. They will clash in the semis on Tuesday. The United States defeated hosts France 2-1 in the quarters while England beat Norway 3-0 in the other quarterfinal clash.  Two more quarter-final matches are slated later this evening. FIFA Women's World Cup: France defeats South Korea 4-0

France beat South Korea 4-0 in the opening match of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in Paris yesterday.  France's Wendie Renard scored two goals, while, Amandine Henry and Eugenie Le Sommer scored one goal each. The French dominance was evident through 13 corners, 66 percent possession and 17 more shots.   Today, Germany will meet China in the first encounter of the tournament while Spain will meet South Africa in another encounter.
