India to host FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 in Chennai

India has won the bid to host the FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 in Chennai. It was originally scheduled to be held in Russia. But the FIDE recently announced that it pulled out from there following the Ukraine invasion.
