Domestic share markets close with robust gains of more than one and a half percent

Domestic share markets today closed with strong gains of more than one and a half percent. The Sensex, the index of the top 30 companies on the Bombay Stock Exchange, ended above the 59,800 mark.  The Nifty, which is the index of the top 50 companies on the National Stock Exchange, settled near the 17,600 level.
