Direct tax collections witness robust growth with collection of Rs 12.37 lakh crore in FY 2023-24

Gross direct tax collections witnessed a robust growth in this financial year with the collection of 12.37 lakh crore rupees so far. The collection is 17.59 percent higher than the corresponding period of last financial year. As per the provisional figures of direct tax collection till 9th of November, personal income tax collection registered growth of 31.77 percent while corporate income tax collection is at 12.48 percent.
