Currency: Rupee gains 15 paise to trade at 74.52 against US dollar

The rupee today logged gains of 15 paise per US dollar. The local unit settled at 74 rupees and 52 paise against the American currency. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar's strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, fell 0.12 percent to trade at 95.93 in intra-day trade.
