Sugar production in current sugar season is expected to be 13% higher than previous season: Consumer Affairs Ministry

Sugar production in the current sugar season is expected to be 13 percent higher than the previous sugar season. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in a statement today said, as per the revised estimates, production of sugar in the current sugar season is estimated to be about 350 lakh metric tonne LMT against estimated domestic consumption of about 278 LMT.
