Gold slips by Rs 141; Silver climbs Rs 44

Gold price on Friday lost 141 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for February contracts. The precious metal was trading at 56,821 rupees per 10 gram. Silver was up by 44 rupees to trade at 68,720 rupees per kilogram for March Contracts when reports last came in. In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was trading up to trade at 1,947 dollars and 50 cents per ounce. Silver was down at around 23 dollars and 84cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
