India's campaign ends at Chinese Taipei Open

India's campaign at the Chinese Taipei Open badminton tournament ended today with  Sourabh Verma suffering a straight-game loss in the men's singles second round. World number 38 Sourabh went down to world number 2 Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei  12-21,  10-21 in a match that lasted 30 minutes.

Sourabh Verma enters second round of Chinese Taipei Open

In Badminton, former champion Sourabh Verma entered the second round of Chinese Taipei Open today.  He defeated Japan's Kazumasa Sakaik 22-20, 21-13 in Men's Singles.   The 26-year-old from Madhya Pradesh emerged as the only surviving Indian in the World Tour Super 300 tournament following the loss of women's singles player Riya Mookerjee and women's doubles pair of Aparna Balan and Prajakta Sawant in the opening round.  Sourabh, who had won the Hyderabad Open...
