Sensex gains 71 points to close at 38,095

Rising for the sixth straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 71 points, or 0.2 percent, to close at 38,095. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 35 points, or 0.3 percent, to 11,462.
