The BCCI has decided to implement strict cost cutting measures with the notable decision of reducing IPL champions' prize money by half. In a circular sent to all IPL franchises, the BCCI has notified that instead of a whopping Rupees 20 crore, the IPL champion team will now be rewarded with Rupees 10 crore. The runners-up will get Rupees 6.25 crore from earlier Rupees 12.5 crore. The two losing qualifiers will now get Rupees 4.375 crore each.

The BCCI today announced the swapping of venues of India's first and third T20 Internationals against the West Indies. The opening match is now scheduled at Hyderabad on December 6.
