In Asia cup, Pakistan defeated the inexperienced Hong Kong by 8 wickets in a group A match at Dubai Cricket Stadium in UAE on Sunday.  Chasing 117 to win, Pakistan made a good start with Imam and Fakhar Zaman sharing a 41-run partnership for the opening wicket. Asia Cup: India's game against Hong Kong to get ODI status

The ICC has decided to accord One-Day International status to India and Pakistan's group league matches against Hong Kong in the upcoming Asia Cup. A senior BCCI official told the news agency PTI today that the BCCI along with Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had placed a request with the ICC board in this regard.
