Amit Panghal advances to quarterfinals of Asian Olympic Qualifiers

Star Indian boxer Amit Panghal advanced to the quarterfinals of the Asian Olympic Qualifiers in 52 kilogram category in Amman, Jordan, today. He triumphed over Mongolia's Enkhmanadakh Kharkhuu in a split 3-2 decision. Panghal, who became India's first silver-medallist at the world championships last year, will now face 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medallist Carlo Paalam of Philipinnes. One more win would be enough for the 24-year-old to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.  ...
