CBDT issues pending refunds of over Rs 2,62,000 crore in last financial year

Central Board of Direct Taxes, CBDT has issued pending refunds of more than two lakh 62 thousand crore rupees in the last financial year. CBDT has informed that the refund was issued to more than two crore 38 lakh taxpayers. It also informed that the refund amounts have registered an increase of more than 42 per cent in comparison to financial year 2019-20.
