Gold trades at Rs 48,000; Silver above Rs 63,000

Gold prices today rose 70 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for February contracts. The precious metal was trading at 48,000 rupees per 10 gram. Silver prices also gained 680 rupees to 63,700 rupees per kilogram for March Contracts when reports last came in. Gold trades at Rs 47,485; Silver trades above 66,000

Gold futures for October delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange lost 118 rupees, to 47,485 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for September fell 318 rupees, to 66,680 rupees per kilo. In the international market, gold was trading lower at 1,801 dollars per ounce. Silver was also trading flat at 25.08 dollars per ounce.
