The Territorial Army, TA, today celebrated its 66th Raising Day. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar took salute and reviewed the Prime Minister's Territorial Army Day Parade in New Delhi on behalf of the Prime Minister. <br/><br/>Addressing the gathering, Mr Parrikar lauded the efforts of Territorial Army for their services in dealing with natural calamities and maintenance of essential services. He said, Territorial Army fraternity is doing yeomen service to the nation. Mr Parrikar said that Government is looking forward to utilize the personnel of Territorial Army in National Mission for Clean Ganga.<br/><br/>The parade comprised marching contingents of infantry Territorial Army, Military Bands and three tableaus of Railway Engineer, Oil Sector and Ecological Territorial Army.<br/><br/>The Territorial Army was raised in 1920 through Indian Territorial Act.
