T20 World Cup: NZ vs West Indies, Lanka to take on England

In the final two Group-I Super-8 matches of the ICC World Cup Twenty-20 cricket tournament, New Zealand will take on the West Indies at 3:30 PM (IST), while hosts Sri Lanka will meet defending champions England at 7:30 PM (IST). Both matches will be played at the Pallekele International Stadium, near Kandy.Last night, Virat Kohli's phenomenal 78 not out kept India's title hopes alive as the Men in Blue thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan by eight wickets in a Super-8 match at Colombo. Chasing a modest 129 for victory, Team India overhauled the target with 8 wickets intact and 3 overs to spare. Kohli scored an unbeaten 78, featuring 8 fours and 2 sixes. Virender Sehwag made 29. Earlier, opting to bat after winning the toss, Pakistan were bundled out for 128 in 19.4 overs. For India, L. Balaji scalped 3 wickets, while R. Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh bagged two wickets each. Kolhi was adjudged man of the match. India will now have to beat South Africa in their last Super-8 match tomorrow, to make it to the semi-finals.In the other Super-8 match played yesterday, Australia defeated South Africa by eight wickets at Colombo.
