At Pallekele, Sri Lanka, today, New Zealand recorded a 59-run victory over Bangladesh in a Group 'D' match of the ICC World T20 cricket tournament. Sent in to bat, the Kiwis made 191 for three in the stipulated 20 overs. Brendon McCullum who hit 123 off 58 balls, became the highest scorer in any Twenty20 International as well as in the short history of ICC World T20. He also became the first cricketer to score two centuries in Twenty20 internationals after his unbeaten 116 against Australia at Christchurch in 2010. Chasing the target of 192, Bangladesh could score just 132 for eight in their twenty overs.In the Group 'A' match, now under way in Colombo, England have set a victory target of 197 runs for Afghanistan. Put in to bat, they made 196 for five in the stipulated overs.Afghanistan lost their first match against India on Wednesday in the three-team group.
