Defending Champions England will clash with New Zealand in a Super-8 match of the ICC Twenty-20 Cricket World Cup in Kandy, Sri Lanka today. The match will begin at 3:30 PM (IST). It is a do-or-die situation for both teams, as they had lost their opening Super-8 matches on Thursday.In the other Super-8 match, hosts Sri Lanka will take on the West Indies at 7:30 today. Both teams had won their opening Super-8 matches and a victory for either side today will ensure a place in the semi-finals.On Friday, India lost its first Super-8 match against Australia by 9 wickets. India won the toss and batted first. Superb Australian fielding and fiery bowling made India struggle and could manage only 140 runs in the allotted 20 overs.Australian Openers, Shane Watson and David Warner then destroyed the Indian bowling with an exceptional 133-run opening wicket partnership. The Aussies overhauled the target with 9 wickets intact and 31 balls to spare. Watson, who had grabbed 3-34 and struck 72 off 42 balls, was adjudged man of the match.Earlier in the day, Pakistan defeated South Africa by 2 wickets in a close encounter. Chasing a modest target of 134, Pakistan were struggling 76 for 7, when tail-ender Umar Gul joined Umar Akmal and played some plucky cricket to take their team to victory in the last over of the match.
