<span style="color: #222222;">Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot has reiterated government's commitment to eradicate manual scavenging from the country and proper rehabilitation of the people involved in it. <br />'' <br />'' Mr. Gehlot listed series of measures taken by the government including skill development training, scholarship and monetary support in this regard. The Minister was replying yesterday to a private member's resolution moved by RJD MP Manoj Jha over the issue in the Rajya Sabha. <br />'' <br />''He said the Centre has conducted detailed survey in 170 districts of 18 states about the people involved in manual scavenging. He added the states have been asked to implement the Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act-2013 properly.</span><br />
